Hello From Paisley Events, and Welcome to the First Paisley Press Post!

Hello Everyone! My name is Katherine Jacox. A few years ago, I was blazing down fast track to marriage when I realized that wedding & event planning was my true calling. I had always loved a party. I was the kid who literally started planning her birthday a good 6 months before hand. Although the engagement did not last, I learned the value of good solid preparation from planning that wedding. My mentor in all things wedding, fellow wedding consultant Yvonne Pagan-Lipes, opened my eyes to the world of weddings and events and I haven't looked back since.

I started my business, Paisley Events, with a few small events (birthday parties, bridal showers, and baby showers). This led to volunteering to assist a friend's sister with her wedding details, and from there I really blossomed as a Wedding Coordinator. At the time, I had only finished part of my degree in business, but I wanted to be able to say to any given client or interested party that I had my fair share of training. I therefore enrolled in the Penn Foster Bridal Consultant course and received top marks, completed the program, and gained the title of Certified Bridal Consultant. In addition, I joined ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) and am always looking for ways to continue my education in every way possible!

Wedding and event planning is not just a job, but a passion. There is nothing better or more satisfying than being able to give my clients EXACTLY what they envisioned. I love being able to conduct research for my clients and really give them what they need with regards to the business aspect (consultant to client), the design aspect, and of course the friendship aspect of my craft. I have nothing but the greatest hopes for this business. I love what I do. I love my mentors (Ms. Yvonne, and of course my celebrity husband David Tutera!)
"I got into the business by accident. I learned as I went... I've learned never say no. If you always say yes to everything that comes across your path youll learn a lot and you'll just makes things happen. " David Tutera on The Bonnie Hunt Show 2009
This blog will contain information regarding the ins and outs of my business itself, as well as op-eds on different aspects of the event planning industry.

Thank you so much for choosing to read along! Please feel free to contact me at any time!

xoxo

Katherine
