Personalizing Your Wedding Dress

Personalizing Your Wedding Dress

Something Old & Something Blue

When a bride is getting ready to walk down the aisle the phrase something old something new something borrowed and something blue comes to mind. While there are many different options for a bride to choose from for her somethings there is one that has become prominent to me. A bride can use one of her father’s old shirts and cut out a small heart and sew it onto the inside of her dress. It is a way to keep dad close on you wedding day and makes your dress unique. You could use any shirt of your choice from a t-shirt to a nice button down. The heart can be any size and be placed anywhere the bride would like. By picking a blue shirt it can be something old and something blue.

A dad’s major part in the wedding is usually paying for it and of course walking the bride down the aisle. Using a piece of dad’s shirt is a way to show how much you love him and how much your relationship means to you. An old shirt has a history just like a father and daughter relationship.
