Décor Trend #4 Baby
got backdrops….
Did I mention I had four weddings? Without getting too into the reasons why, hubby
declared our multiple nuptials as the “The White Wedding Tour of 2012.” Because
we love going to concerts and are always amazed at the intricacy or simplicity
of the backdrops that set the tone for the show, backdrops are a special kind
of trend for me. While church weddings
often provide a beautiful backdrop with stained glass windows or an ornate
altar, outdoor weddings typically rely on a sunny day and gorgeous blue skies
and trees. Well, that’s not the case
anymore.
Backdrops
have popped up at plenty of ceremonies this year. We’re not just talking some extravagant
florals or even the beautiful chuppahs that I’ve seen. Elaborate backdrops have been constructed
from everything from doors, windows, and other building supplies to frames,
furniture, streamers, and tablecloths. A
few of my faves include:
Backdrops didn’t stop after the big kiss! Reception backdrops were seen in the form of
photobooths and to “set” the dessert or gift table too!
